| Martin was admitted as a Solicitor (England & Wales) in 1984. Admitted as a Notary Public (Great Britain and Northern Ireland) in 1988. Admitted as a Solicitor (Eire) in 2003. He became the Senior Partner in 1997. Martin specializes in Family Law and Criminal Litigation. He is a regular Advocate in both the local County Court, North Kent Family Proceedings Court and Magistrates Courts. In addition, Martin has been a Member of the Law Society's Family Law Advanced Panel and the Criminal Litigation Accreditation Scheme for many years. He is the head of the Family Department and is the main supervisor for the Family Department and is principally responsible for fee earner training within the firm. In Family Law he specializes in Ancillary Relief and Private Law Children’s Act work. Martin has practiced Criminal Law for in excess of 35 years and has been a Police Station and Court Duty Solicitor virtually since those schemes were devised. |
From start to finish Martin will have the overall supervision and control of any case that he is instructed upon in either Family or Crime cases until conclusion. With his experience and contacts built up over a very lengthy career in private practice Martin will select the most suitable Barrister should the case require this. Martin joined the firm in 1980 and after an initial five years at Rochester Office moved to the Gillingham Office where he remains. When not involved in Partnership business Martin is a keen an active Member of the Medway Law Society for which he was President in 2004/5. He is responsible for the Society's training programme and sets up a large number of practical training seminars throughout the course of each year. Martin enjoys family life and is a keen sports fan especially association Football. |
