Will Writing
We understand that discussing what will happen to your estate, and any dependants, after your death, can be a difficult and challenging conversation.  However, preparing for the future will not only make the time after your passing easier for your family and loved ones, but will ensure your estate is distributed according to your wishes; and your chosen guardians take care of any dependants.
There is a lot to consider when drafting a will, from a simple Will to those more complex. Our team will draft a clear, well-written and valid Will.
Probate
Losing a loved one is an emotional time. With or without a Will in place, handling the distribution of an estate, can be a stressful and difficult time. Our team are here to help ease the stress in dealing with the legal and financial obligations of the deceased.
Contested Probate
The administration and distribution of the deceased assets can be contested (Contested Probate), with or without a Will in place. Subsequently, it is understandable, that when Probate is challenged, it can make this period even more stressful, during an already emotional time.
Whether you are Contesting Probate, or engaged in a Probate Dispute, we offer straightforward and factual legal advice. Make sure you understand your legal rights, contact our team today.
Power of Attorney
Prepare for your future with a Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA).   By drawing up a Lasting Power of Attorney whilst you are still capable, will ensure you understand and agree to the legal entitlements your dedicated Power of Attorney can undertake on your behalf, should you be unable to look after your financial affairs, health or welfare.
Court of Protection
Where no Lasting Power of Attorney in place, and an individual lacks the capacity to make decisions independently, an application may be submitted, in certain situations, to the Court of Protection. In the event of a successful application, permission is given to someone else to make decisions on your behalf.
Bassets provides legal advice to anyone involved in proceedings at the Court of Protection.
Why Use Bassets?
We are here to assist you and your loved ones. Our goal is to help provide you with clear legal advice, either preparing for the future, or alleviating some of the stress experienced after the death of a loved one.
As a member of the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA), we are a regulated body. This means you are provided with more protection than compared to using an unregulated provider.
