James Warren

James was employed by the Magistrates’ Court Service from July 1991 as a Legal Advisor and was called to The Bar in 1996.  In January 2000 James was admitted as a Solicitor and entered private practice.  He applied for and was granted duty solicitor status before the end of his first year in practice due to his experience in the Magistrates’ Courts Service. 

In April 2007 James was granted the Higher Courts (Criminal Proceedings) Qualification by the Law Society.  This enables him to conduct the full range of hearings at the Crown Court.

James has conducted numerous hearings of all types in both the Magistrates’ court and Crown Court including bail applications, adjournment applications, guilty plea hearings, special measures applications, opposing bad character applications, sentencing hearings and contested trials.

James has extensive experience in dealing with all aspects of criminal cases.  Types of cases range from the minor criminal cases to the most serious and complex cases. 

James has a calming influence on clients and is able to understand their needs.
